ABOUT THIS BOOK
Children in foster care and adopted children have usually suffered painful separations from their families for reasons they may not understand. They are often very confused, angry, and sad. This appealing and comforting story explores their experiences, problems, and emotions. Foster and adoptive parents, counselors and therapists will find Zachary's New Home to be a useful tool for understanding these children and helping them to cope with their many losses and to feel happier about the present and optimistic about their future.

REVIEWS
"This story warmly expresses the genuine trauma of children who are placed in foster and adoptive care.…As both an administrator and therapist, I wholeheartedly endorse this engaging story for use for children with these special needs."
—Billie Lillie, M.S.W., L.C.S.W.
Clinical Director, Jewish Family and Children's Services, Denver, Colorado

"Special and touching…[it] would make children going through such experiences know they are not alone and that there are people who understand."
—Priority Parenting

"The illustrations are beautifully pencilled…the authors do a credible job of portraying the anguish and self-doubt and testing that go on when a child is…placed in a new setting."
—The Gifted Child Today
