ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Patricia O. Quinn, M.D., is a developmental pediatrician in Washington, D.C., specializing in child development and psychopharmacology. A pioneer, Dr. Quinn has worked for nearly 30 years in the areas of ADD, hyperactivity, and learning disabilities. She gives workshops nationwide and has published extensively in these fields.

Judith M. Stern, M.A., is an educational consultant in private practice in Rockville, Maryland, specializing in work with children who have learning disabilities and ADD, as well as their parents and teachers. She is also the author of several books for young people with attention deficit disorder and learning disabilities.

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR
Kate Sternberg, creator of all of the illustrated activities in BRAKES, is an author, illustrator, and middle school art teacher living in Reston, Virginia.
